千古保障 :: who protects the church?

I encountered a very profound theological challenge in St. Mary's (Roman Catholic) Cathedral today, which could put our faith in divine providence to test.  As I was on my way out after mass, I saw a computer-printed notice: 'This cathedral is protected by CCTV'.  Then I noticed that the letters 'CCTV' were crossed out by pen, and above it were 3 letters written in hand: 'GOD'.  Well?

.......................................

『This cathedral is protected by CCTV』(本大教堂有閉路電視保護)
